Descriptions

Preneed is a special preparation of Carbonyl Iron, Folic Acid and Zinc.

Indications

Preneed is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of Iron, Folic Acid and Zinc deficiency. It is indicated for use in improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy, and in the postnatal period for both lactating and nonlactating mothers.

Dosage and Administration

One capsule daily. In more severe cases, 2 capsules a day may be required or as directed by the physician.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated. However, a few allergic reactions may be seen.

Precautions

Care should be taken in patients who may develop iron overload, such as those with haemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia or red cell aplasia. Iron chelates with tetracycline and absorption may be impaired.

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
